It is no secret that we are living in a digital age, with almost everyone we see communicating with some form of device both socially and professionally. Businesses know that they need to gain a social and digital media presence, but where do you begin? Here are three ways to jump start your campaign:
- Research your target market and find which digital mediums they frequent most and be present there. This could be blogs, forums, Twitter, Facebook, or a combination of a few.
- Make sure that you share relevant content. Read industry websites and newsletters, share videos, pertinent inspirational quotes, and if appropriate, humorous pictures. Relevancy in who you follow/like is also important.
- Consistency counts. Once you’ve decided on your social platforms, be present and active. Respond to questions and comments quickly and professionally.
