  • Increase awareness of Henkel’s vehicle lightweighting innovations and solutions in the competitive landscape of tier automotive suppliers and OEMs.

Approach

  • Build off the successful Henkel’s Lighten Up blog of which MCCI creates written content and videos. By leveraging the lightweighting Henkel subject matter experts in the blog and videos, MCCI has conducted a proactive PR/media relations campaign focused on key trade and local business media outlets.

Results

  • Since its launch, the Lighten Up blog’s viewership, engagement and impressions have increased significantly month-over-month. It is consistently ranked on pages one and two in Google results for key search terms, such as “lightweighting.”
  • Media wins have included various tours/interviews at the company’s North American automotive headquarters in Madison Heights, Mich. where media have experienced, and been wowed by, Henkel’s innovations and solutions.
  • Feature stories have run in key media outlets like Automotive Design & Production (a four-page feature article) and Crain’s Detroit Business (one of only four key suppliers profiled on Advanced Manufacturing).
