This week we are recognizing Bob Rossbach, one of our Senior Communications Consultants. Other than holding the title as ‘Bob of Bob's People,’ Bob’s charismatic personality and incredible work ethic are what make him a highly respected professional. He can handle any given situation with intelligence, urgency and a smile. Read what Bob has to say about MCCI below!
What do you love about MCCI?
Well, the view out the window is nice… I’m just joking. MCCI is a great office in an amazing town with a terrific bunch of creative people. The best part of MCCI is having the opportunity to work with such a dedicated team. We laugh among ourselves about being ‘Bob’s People,’ which just shows how well we all get along. All of our creative professionals know how to take their work seriously but don’t take themselves all that seriously. Laughing is something we do really well here.
Explain your role as a part of the MCCI family.
I have no idea what I do here… Why are you asking these hard questions? Actually, one of my more important roles is the Executive Senior Vice President of lame jokes. In reality though, I manage several long-term relationships with clients and I also handle one of our newest clients. I’m constantly “putting out fires,” brainstorming new project ideas and working though “missions impossible.”
What’s the most challenging part of your job? Most rewarding?
I would have to say it’s very difficult to stay on top of the trends in communication, technology, visual design and the works. Our industry is in a constant state of disruption; it has been dramatically changed by the relentless momentum of technology. The most rewarding part is when we are able to pull all of our integrated marketing elements together - video production, PR strategy, great content and copy, engaging visuals, etc. - and achieve superior results. It’s really fun when it all comes together and everyone in the office gets to have a piece of it.
How do you spend your time outside the office?
I’m a triathlete. I swim for donuts, bike for beer and run for ice cream (those are my favorites).
I enjoy spending time with my three adult children and I’m constantly working on home improvement projects.
What cartoon character would you be and why?
Well, there’s Bob the Builder. Other than the obvious similarity of our names, I build a lot. I’m always building content and writing. Also, I’m building in regards to home improvement and actually, I have been involved with mission work in Kentucky, New Orleans and Haiti constructing many different kinds of buildings.
