What do you love about MCCI?

I love the work atmosphere here; it’s very relaxed and comfortable. You can joke around with anyone in the office and I think that is so important. We are always laughing together and I really think it helps us connect as a team. I also love the creative freedom that we are given. I can experiment and learn/try new things; everyone is very encouraging.

Explain your role as a part of the MCCI family.

I am the Production Assistant at MCCI so I offer support to all of the video team members. I help with scheduling video shoots, which is actually a lot of work. We have to decide who is going to what shoot, what equipment we will need, the time and location of the shoot and a million other minor details. I am also slowly being integrated into editing and shooting which is really fascinating. Basically, my job is to know what’s happening with the MCCI video team at all times.

What’s the most challenging part of your job? Most rewarding?

The video industry is always changing so it’s very challenging to keep up with it. There’s always new editing software, producing techniques and current trends that we want to utilize. I am constantly adjusting. The best feeling though is when you capture exactly what your client is looking for… When you know that you did a great job and the client is happy too; that feeling is so rewarding.

How do you spend your time outside the office?

I like to be active as much as I can, especially outside. I spend a lot of time with my family and I really love to read. Lately, I’ve been trying to learn new things - I’ve started cooking and I’m trying to learn how to sew. I want to learn how to play an instrument too, I just haven’t gotten around to it yet, but it’s in the works!

What is the most played song on your favorite playlist?

Right now, I’m obsessed with Drake’s old albums. I’ve been listening to “Thank Me Later” nonstop. The song “Fireworks” from that album has been played a lot recently, especially in my car. I just blast music during my commute to and from work every day, it’s great.
