MCCI warmly welcomes Sofia Anderson, our public relations intern. Sofia recently graduated from Grand Valley State University and earned her bachelor’s degree, double-majoring in Advertising and Public Relations with a concentration in Public Relations, and Spanish. She completed an internship with destination marketing organization Experience Grand Rapids. To say the least, Sofia brings a passion for public relations to the integrated marketing agency – we’re excited to have her onboard! Learn more about Sofia below.
What is your favorite part about working at MCCI?
Thus far my favorite part has been meeting members of the team. Everyone has been very kind and welcoming! I look forward to collaborating with the team on a diverse range of accounts.
Explain your role as a part of the MCCI family.
My role as a public relations intern is to support the PR team in any way that I can as well as receive mentoring. Some responsibilities of my role include media relations, attending client meetings and development of written content.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with family and friends surrounded by some kind of body of water and lots of snacks, specifically tortilla chips and guacamole. I also enjoy reading, binging Netflix shows and listening to comedy podcasts, but not at the same time.
If you could have dinner with three people, alive or dead, who would they be?
If I could have dinner with three people, alive or dead, they would be my late grandmother, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Ellen DeGeneres.
